While staying at home for long periods of time while in a state of uncertainty may leave some of us feeling stressed, anxious, or even depressed in quarantine - we start to stress over things we cannot control.

We aren't able to see our loved ones.

Can't travel.

Can't sit down at a restaurant for date night.

Can't work.

No graduations.

Such a weird time to be living in and unfortunately about to go into yet another full month of quarantine, staying at home, and more social distancing.

So besides watching a crap ton of Netflix, take the time to look into these few ideas while stuck at home forever (...and ever and eveeeeeer) to relieve some stress in hopes for our sanity during this pandemic!

1. Breathe

I saw this Facebook post one time where it told me to:

"Take a deep breath, hold for 4 seconds, breathe out, hold for 4 seconds....repeat"

It's so stupid simple, and I literally do this whenever I reached my peak of stress. It helps, I swear.

2. TURN OFF THE NEWS!!

The news is usually chaotic, and for me, it induces stress when I see facts of the virus spike up every. single. day. So just for a second. Please, do yourself a favor a take a pause from the news.

The news will always be there. You can search for Coronavirus updates online anytime, at your fingertips.

3. Drink some Relaxing Tea

((Traditional Medicinal's Cup of Calm))

I'm a huge tea drinker.

There's seriously nothing that compares to snuggling up on the couch with a hot cup of tea. When I can't sleep and feeling anxious, I drink a cup to soothe my worries away.

4. Take advantage of having all the time in the world to read a book

((Harry Potter Complete Book Series Special Edition Boxed Set by J.K. Rowling))

I'm going to get heat for this, but I have never read or seen the Harry Potter series. Perhaps this is the time to read, right?

5. Don't forget to take a walk outside

It is easy to walk to the fridge, but don't forget to walk out to breathe in and out that fresh air.

Search up a nearby lake, walk around your apartment complex, or even look up the closest outdoor trail near you!

6. Give your face some love with a clay mask

((Indian Healing Clay))

If you know what this mask is, you know that this is theeeee holy grail of holy grail masks in the beauty industry.  When the anxiety is up, so does your skin flares. Great way to give yourself some self-care during this time.

Not only is it a face mask, you can also use it as a hair mask, bath soak, and a foot soak.

The benefits from this clay is INSANE and clears up your skin like crazy. But if you are going to do a face mask with this, follow the directions carefully cause you might burn your skin....which would suck.

7. Enjoy the natural breeze from a camping hammock

((Wise Owl Outfitters Hammock Camping Double & Single))

I was recently gifted a double camping hammock during my stay-at-home birthday from my sweet boyfriend. Nigel and I went to a nearby park where we live and hung out while sun set and it was insanely relaxing. It's such a great way to enjoy the outdoors while cuddling up, hanging out. The hammock is easily portable, super light, and the easiest thing to put away when you're done!

8. Call up your loved ones!

I think this one is super important.

I am sure that everyone is dealing with this pandemic in a different way, and it doesn't hurt to call your loved ones for a few moments. Share the love and love will find a way to find you back :)

9. Buy a plant. A real one!!

I never thought to ever buy plants until this quarantine. (Or, maybe I'm just going cray cray.I dunno, ha!)

Plants seriously makes the atmosphere more soothing. Plus it's also rather relaxing to plant them, too! Fake plants are way too expensive, and real plants are waaaaay cheaper. Bought a few ferns for the patio at Lowe's!

10. Pamper yourself with 12 days of Bath Bombs

((LifeAround2Angels Bath Bombs Gift Set 12 USA made with Fizzies, Shea & Coco Butter))

Talk about pampering yourself for days. 12 days.

Warming up your tub with hot water, lit up candles, and a glass of wine? Yes. You deserve it.

11. Try something new....How about Yoga??

((Nicole Miller Yoga Workout Mat))

If you haven't done yoga before, it has been sworn by many that this is a great way to calm the senses, anxiety, and stressors, while you meditate.

12. Aromatherapy Diffuser to melt your worries away

((Ultimate Aromatherapy Diffuser & Essential Oil Set - Ultrasonic Diffuser & Top 10 Essential Oils))

With you being home all day, fill up your home to assist you in feeling more relaxed through soothing essential oils. Lavender is known to be very calming, and that specific oil comes in this set!
